SERVER / FORUMS / VENTRILO RULES

 

First and Foremost rule:  The rules apply to all servers / forums / ventrilo and even non-iGO servers/forums.  Yes, even if you’re not in an iGO system we expect you to uphold our rules.  You need to respect and represent us as long as you wear iGO tags.  Once you’re in the server /forums / ventrilo and dealing with clan mates/guest; one thing you should remember is that this clan DOES have a chain of command that you must abide by.  Senior officer on the server will handle all altercations.  If you see something, speak to one of the senior officers. The Senior officer will deal with the problem, whether that be dealing with it themselves or asking you to do it.

 

Senior officers include (left to right the list by seniority):

 

1.Zesla, 2.Death, 3. Peterson, 4. SharkBait, 5. Goat, 6. E-Dog, 7. RaZoR, 8. Freak, 9. Raven

 

After them, come the NCO's starting with the 1st Sgt, MSgt, Sgt.  Last but not least, Pvt and Cdt. Please report altercations via ADMIN ONLY Chat command or over ventrilo. Don’t tell another member to do something ask them to please deal with the altercation.  Unless they ask to deal with it or if you are already involved in another altercation.  If you notice another member is already dealing with someone, then leave him or her alone to deal with it.  There is nothing worse than having 4 admins yell at you for the same thing.  If a clan mate does something for example “BAN” a player without warning, in ventrilo let that clan mate know that they should not “BAN” without warning.  That all iGOs must also follow all server rules.  Also all rules apply in both ventrilo and any iGO servers, we expect you to follow our rules in other servers.  If you have an iGO tag you need to represent the clan in the best possible manner.  Remember, when you’re talking to other admins, either use the admin only chat, or use ventrilo.

 

RULES:            Servers / Forums / Ventilo

 

       1.              Be friendly and kind on the server

       2.              Have fun and respect other players

       3.              Help new player's become better players

       4.              No shooting in or out of spawn without a TARGET!  (Some maps are allowed because   objectives are located in the spawn area)

       5.              No swearing on the server, typed or spoken, (In game and Vent)

       6.              No team killing or team wounding

       7.              No microphone spamming, (In game and Vent)

       8.              No pornographic or revealing sprays (Avitars, signatures, pictures in the Forums)

       9.              No racial remarks

   10.              No anti-semetic remarks

   11.              No biggotry

   12.              No sexual content/remarks

   13.              No anti homosexual content/remarks

THESE RULES WE WILL BE UPHELD – NO EXCEPTIONS

 

Breaking these rules can and may result in a complete Ban from the clan.  Braking Rules 8 - 13 will get you EXPELLED and BANNED no questions asked.

If an iGO member or Cadet breaks rules 1- 7 repeatedly, disciplinary action will be taken.  Please set the example and make our server one to be proud of and have fun.  We expect all iGO members, and Cadets to uphold these rules above all else and set the example to others.  On all servers that iGO members and Cadets play on

 

CLAN iGO TAG RULES:

 

Rank.Name-iGO (add on)        Example:  Pvt.Crazy-iGO or Pvt.Crazy-iGO (goofy)

 

            Tag Name and Add On Rules

 

1.      No profanity.

2.      No sexual themes.

3.      No other clan tags allowed.

4.      No inappropriate names.

 

Remember, when away from our server you represent the iGO Clan so behave as though you are playing on our servers.  Removal of add on names will be expected.  If the use of tag additions get out of hand or become a problem then we will no longer allow them. 

 

THE PROCESS FOR ADMINISTRATING THE SERVER IS:

 

1.      WARN  - Typed and spoken, (make sure they understand. Some players don't speak English)

2.      SLAP -  Only after warning the player, (this usually gets there attention)

3.      SLAY -  Only after slapping, (you may have to repeat step three several times if they persist)

4.      KICK -   If player wont take the hint

5.      BAN -   Only for higher level admins as a last resort.  Ban time will reflect infraction.

 

BAN REPORTING:

 

All Player Bans must be recorded in the Ban Report section located in the iGO House section of the Forums.            http://www.clanigo.com/forum/index.php?board=18.0

 

            The following information is required:

 

1.      Player name

2.      Steam ID

3.      Map name

4.      Time

5.      Rule infraction

6.      Type of ban, (time period of ban or permanent ban)

 

BINDING KEYS TO ENABLE USE OF ADMIN FUNCTIONS:

 

To be able to use the Admin Functions in game, you must bind commands in the config, (cfg), file for each game that we use admin.

 

The games can have admin enabled are;

 

Day of Defeat, Counter Strike and Team Fortress 2.

 

How to locate the config, (cfg), file for DOD.

 

C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\yoursteamaccountname@hotmail.com\day of defeat source\dod\cfg

 

NOTE:  This is the path for most installs.  If you did a custom install, some parts of the path shown above could be different.

 

Open with word pad to edit, note pad will not work.

 

Place the curser at the end of any line of text, and hit enter.  This creates a place to type or paste

this information:          bind "F1" "admin"  This is for DOD.  Required to access mani, (admin), in game.  When this bind key is used, the admin GUI is displayed.  The GUI will list the features/commands that your level of admin has.  For CSS, bind a key of your choice

 

Recommended binds for DOD.  These warning are displayed on screen during the game for all to see.  For CSS or DOD you can choose the keys to bind these commands.

 

bind "F2" "ma_csay PLEASE WATCH YOUR LANGUAGE"

bind "F3" "ma_csay DO NOT TEAM KILL OR TEAM WOUND" 

bind "F4" "ma_csay DO NOT SHOOT IN SPAWN"

 

TF2 would not use the team killing/wounding or spawn shooting blurbs.

 

The keys bound can be what you prefer to use.

Upper Case or Sentence case can be used.

 

Use Your Admin Powers RESPONSIBLY!  They are a privilage not a right!

There are multiple channels in Vent.  Please use the appropriate channel for games, general chit chat, music, AFK, etc.

Clan iGO (default)  -  When you log in, you start here.

AFK - Away From Keyboard  -  Means what it says, use this channel when going AFK.
